How does PC-Charge work?

PC-Charge is a native Windows software program that uses your modem to dial the credit card processing company. You simply click the PC-Charge program icon, swipe the credit card or manually key in the transaction information, click the process button, and you're done! In a few seconds you will be notified that the transaction is complete. And you can run other software in the background while you're processing the transaction.

PC-Charge rich feature list includes:

  • Opportunities for lower rates with American Express and Discover direct authorization. PC-Charge supports split-dial (check, debit, and credit) operation with most credit card processing networks. By going direct to these issuers, you can eliminate the middleman and save money!
  • Address Verification Service to lower the cost of credit card transactions when the card is not present.
  • Queuing. Can hold the phone line for mulitple transactions! (Requires minimum of 2 user license)
  • New IP Connection with NOVA and Vital's VirtualNet, backed up by dial modem.
  • TAPI Modem Compliance. Uses Windows to manage the modem, dramatically improving modem setup and permitting other resident applications, like WinFax, to share the modem!
  • Recurring Billing. Schedule transactions to be processed accordingly to your specific billing requirements. Also includes contract utilities.
  • Report options make account reconciliation and business management easier!
  • Multiple users can be supported overa Local Area Network (LAN) or a Wide Area Network (WAN) so you can share the modem and phone line and consolidate reporting.
